Fire Testing Laboratory of Chair of Fire Safety and Civil Protection of Fire Safety and Civil Protection College began its activities in 1962. Since 1998, the laboratory has been a Member of the Latvian Association of testing laboratories (LATLAB).
The professionalism of the Fire Testing Laboratory has been assessed with an accreditation certificate certifying the competence of the laboratory to perform testing in accordance with LVS EN ISO 17025: 2017 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories (ISO/IEC 17025:2017). The accreditation decision was taken in Riga, February 23, 2023, accreditation certificate No.LATAK – T-086-18-2000. The accreditation certificate shall expire on 11 March 2028.
Scope of accreditation in the non-regulated field: physical testing of liquid and solid substances, textiles, fire hazard indicators for construction products, fire protection products and extinguishing agents.
